There was a great deal happening, much too fast, and Paul wasn't sure if he could move past it. What did such things matter now? They shall not grow old, as we that are left. Paul sank into a chair, uncaring, for once, that Jaelle should see him as less than strong. Liadon, the beloved son, who was who was Kevin, of course. And she could do this thing because of the sacrifice. If the Goddess could do this, she could do it harmlessly. No flooding, no dangerous rising of rivers or lakes. So completely so, he couldn't even grasp how such a thing could come to pass. But now-now everything had been changed, the metaphor made achingly real. He took a step toward her, but even as he did, she made a choking sound and fled. He bitterly regretted his moment of anger. In time to see Jennifer, who had been composed to hear of Darien and tautly silent as Dave spoke, now rise at Jaelle's words, a white grief in her face, her mouth open, eyes blazing with naked pain, and Paul realized that if she was opening now to this, she was open to everything. At the going down of the sun and in the morning His heart wasn't going to be able to keep up. its good to see that in newer games. He sighed. pretty much the same thing in a tbs game anyways. it wasnt a one shot kill, but was a one turn kill. I bought it by the way, and already lost a jester. it reminds me of old school RPGs, while this one isnt as unforgiving, the chance still remains. many games use RNG systems, not all include insta-kill permadeath as part of that process. its whether that RNG could result in an insta-kill permadeath situation. The bad, or good, from an RNG standpoint isnt whether its random or not. I dont think anyone needs a definition of RNG, but thanks. This game is controled by the randomness of the universe and is mildly modified by stats. The +1 you get from the magic property of the Sword of Troll Steaming +1 adds +1 to your attack making it an 8. It's like attacking with a Sword of Troll Steaming +1 and needing to roll (on a d12, dice, RNG device) an 8 to hit, but you roll a 7. Higher stats modify the result of the RNG more than lower stats. One RNG can not be worse than another.Įnemies have better stats than low lvl adventurers, which gives them the advantage. Originally posted by RNGsus:RNG = Random Number Generator. My advice is if you can't handle a loss due to bad luck, just stay away from the game. I don't complain when my squad starts critting and waste the enemy in a single turn, so I shouldn't complain when the AI plays smart and focus down one character. But well, ♥♥♥♥ happens in this game anyway and I guess that's the only reason I keep playing it. I'm totally fine with that now, but I must admit it, the moment it happened was infuriating, because I hadn't lost any heroes so far and at week 23 it happens out of nowhere. After I lost that guy, I decided to continue, since my guys were in really good shape and they finished the dungeon, camped for stress relief and went back to town. DARKEST DUNGEON R34 FULLIt was really frustrating, because I was on a lvl 3 dungeon, with all lvl 3 characters, well geared, all of them close to full health and I lost one of them because of really bad luck. Sure, today I lost a lvl 3 Demo after the AI decided to focus on him, all 4 enemies hit him in the same turn, 3 of them crit, got him to death's door and the 4th hit was a deathblow. I guess I lost 6-7 characters total, never had to dismiss anyone due to economy failure aswel. Well, I'm on my 4th playthru (usually after I defeat all champion bosses I just start another campaign because at that point things get pretty easy and a bit boring) and I haven't had that much trouble with RNG like people usually complain around here.
